About
I’m Mia Wexford, an IT security professional based in Australia, specialising in VPN technologies, online privacy, and secure network solutions. I graduated from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where I built a solid foundation in IT systems, cybersecurity, and network architecture.
My expertise comes from over fifteen years of hands-on experience in the IT security field. Between 2008 and 2012, I worked as a Network Administrator and Security Analyst at a leading Australian telecommunications company, gaining in-depth knowledge of ISP operations, data management, and large-scale network security. From 2012 to 2016, I provided IT security consulting to small and medium businesses across Melbourne, implementing practical security solutions, conducting vulnerability assessments, and training teams on cybersecurity best practices.
Since 2016, I have worked independently as a Security Consultant and Educator, focusing on VPN development and privacy solutions for individuals and families. This includes personal consultations, security audits, creating educational content, and researching emerging threats to provide actionable, real-world protection strategies.
Beyond my professional work, I am actively involved in privacy advocacy in Australia. I have contributed to public consultations on data retention laws, participated in cybersecurity forums, and collaborated with organisations dedicated to digital rights. My goal is to make online security accessible and understandable, empowering Australians to take control of their digital lives.
Every day, I strive to combine technical expertise with practical guidance, ensuring that strong, reliable digital privacy is not just a concept, but a reality for everyone.
